Benefits of Dental Implants

Improve Your Overall Health

Your oral health is deeply connected to your overall well-being. By eliminating harmful bacterial infections and resolving periodontal disease, dental implants can significantly improve your health. Our comprehensive treatment approach ensures that existing dental issues are addressed, creating a foundation for lasting oral health.

Enjoy Life to the Fullest

Imagine being able to eat all your favorite foods again without hesitation. With dental implants, you can confidently bite into apples, enjoy corn on the cob, savor a juicy steak, and crunch into fresh salads and vegetables. No more avoiding certain foods or worrying about embarrassing situations with loose dentures.

Long-Lasting Results

Dental implants represent a permanent solution that can last a lifetime with proper care. Unlike bridges and dentures that typically need replacement every 5-10 years, implants offer a more cost-effective, long-term solution. By choosing implants, you're investing in a lasting solution that eliminates the recurring costs of temporary alternatives.

Restore Your Confidence

Dental implants look, feel, and function just like natural teeth. You won't need to deal with the daily hassle of removing dentures, and you can speak, laugh, and smile with complete confidence. Our implants are securely anchored, eliminating concerns about movement or slippage during social interactions. Experience the freedom of having teeth that feel and function naturally.

Are You a Good Candidate for Dental Implants?

If you're dealing with missing teeth, loose dentures, failing bridges, or ongoing dental problems, you might be an excellent candidate for dental implants. Many patients who've been told they don't have enough bone for implants or aren't good candidates elsewhere have found success at our center. Modern implant techniques have made this life-changing treatment accessible to more people than ever before. Even if you have bone loss, gum disease, or other dental complications, our experienced team can often find solutions to help you achieve the smile you deserve.

The best way to know for sure is to schedule a consultation where we can evaluate your specific situation and discuss your options.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, dental implants can be used for multiple missing teeth. An individual implant can be placed for each missing tooth, restoring function and aesthetics. In some cases, if several adjacent teeth are missing, a dental bridge or a full or partial denture that is anchored to multiple implants may be recommended instead. This provides reliable stabilization and comfort and preserves healthy teeth, as opposed to traditional dentures or bridges that require grinding down adjacent healthy teeth.

We often recommend dental implants over other options due to their durability, permanence, and resemblance to natural teeth. The implant replaces the tooth’s root, creating a stable base for an artificial tooth that is securely attached and doesn’t move. Unlike dentures, implants don’t require special cleansing procedures; unlike bridges, they don’t require alteration of neighboring teeth. Implants also prevent bone loss in the jaw, working to maintain your facial structure over the long term.

Dental implants can last a very long time with proper maintenance. How long exactly can depend on a variety of factors, including the patient’s oral hygiene practices, overall health status, whether or not they smoke (as smoking can negatively affect implant lifespan), and regular dental check-ups. If well taken care of, dental implants have been reported to last 25 years or more, potentially making them a long-lasting solution.

The recovery process after dental implant surgery varies from person to person, depending on factors such as the number of implants placed and the patient’s overall health. Generally, there will be some discomfort in the days immediately following surgery, which typically includes: swelling of the gums and face; bruising; pain at the implant site; minor bleeding. However, these should improve gradually over a week or so. The complete healing process, wherein the implant fuses with the bone—a process called osseointegration—usually takes several months.

Insurance coverage for dental implants depends on your insurance plan’s specifics. While some insurance companies have started providing coverage for dental implants, many policies still do not. That’s why we recommend reviewing your dental insurance plan and speaking with your insurance provider to understand what part is covered. Some of our patients’ plans cover a portion of the procedure or offer a discount, but much of the cost may still remain out-of-pocket. Some medical insurance also covers dental implants if our dentists deem them medically necessary.
